Star Wars Imperial Assault Jawa Scavenger Villain Pack unboxing and reveiw
Today we are looking at an expansion for Star Wars Imperial Assault from Fantasy Flight Games. Much uttering of "Utinni!" must be done as we look at the Jawa Scavenger pack which comes in the scum and villains faction for mercenary use.

Almost no one knows what Jawas look like beneath their hooded brown robes—not even on
Tatooine, where nearly everyone knows them by reputation. They are junk droid scavengers and merchants, and they traverse the desert planet in their massive, treaded sandcrawlers, hawking their wares to moisture farmers with few other options.
Not quite hostile, these Jawas aren't truly friendly, either. Because their droids are often hastily refurbished, they push to strike their bargains quickly. Then they roll away in their sandcrawlers before the droids have a chance to malfunction.
It's this combination of mystery, haggling, and droid-focused trickery that you'll find brought to life by the figure, missions, and cards in the Jawa Scavenger Villain Pack for Imperial Assault.
So Lets pop it open and take a peak inside see what we get to add to our games of Imperial Assault.
So what do we get in the pack? A plastic model a bag of cards, and a Skirmish mission map.
The model is very characterful, and rather cool too. One i think that would look good painted s you would need to get that dark shadowed face to complete the look.
The Jawa Scavenger comes in two "Elite" forms and one regular form for 3 points, and then 2 respectively. I do like the different versions, as it lets you play in different styles that are themed. The elites both have +2 accuracy built in and can surge for another two, pierce 2 and 2 damage, so can do some good shooting for a cheap model, which is good as they are only rolling 2 yellow dice. The first version has bargain as a surge ability, which lets you spend a VP to roll a green dice, and gain 1 vp for each hit rolled, so its really a gamble there. Take Cover lets you gets some blocks in. Scavenged Stock though, is really thematic, and i like it, if you are in the mercenary scum faction you can include up to 3 droid groups from any other affiliation. Love it... makes you feel like this is the Jawas pack of things he has in his sandcrawler, a real eclectic mix of things. The other one gives friendly droids extra speed and accuracy, so you can imagine him as more the "tinkerer" messing around and upgrading them.
The cheapest version, though of course they are all pretty cheap is a bit weaker, but he can use harass to add strain to a hit even if he doesn't do damage.
There is also a Rather nice upgrade for IG-88, which i suppose is fitting as you can imagine the Jawas coming up with something. It gives him an extra 5 health, 2 movement points, and makes him focused before an attack, but you lose and gain some other surges. Great for customisation.
The imperials get a couple of agenda cards with Jawa raid to add them in, or Ion Blasters who adds a bit more punch.
You also get two different skirmish missions to expand the catalogue, its excellent having so much variety in the game.
Lastly we have Salvage operations which is a campaign side mission for the Jawas
A good solid pack, as always brings more missions, which is always a good thing so well worth picking up even if not your main faction.

Upgrade wise we get the mechanical salvage attachment, that can put on a droid to drop its speed by 1, but ALSO its cost by 3 for the mission letting you get more on the table.
There HAD to be an "Utinni!" card, I'm so glad FFG did it You use it at the start of the round, and each friendly Jawa gains 1 speed, 1 accuracy and surge if you are attacking to gain a VP.
Navigation upgrade it an Acton and strain to play it, then you can exhaust it in a friendly droids movement to give them an extra movement point.
Triangulate is an action that causes a figure in 5 spaces and line of sight to suffer damage equal to the number of droids up 3 that are line of sight of it, so great for droid heavy decks.
